Keith & Joe are from the United States and moved to Costa Rica in late 2020, yes we bought a hotel in the midst of COVID. We took some of the time to remodel the hotel and enhance your experience. It was a challenging first year in business, but we knew we wanted to deliver an affordable jungle chic experience to our guests and we were determined to become the best at what we do.
We searched very carefully to find the jungle paradise that is Nature’s Edge. After all, we are living our lifelong dream of living in Costa Rica and hosting you in this idyllic paradise. Nature’s Edge is our home too and we are happy to share it with you.
We are Centrally Located in Uvita, Costa Rica on the South Pacific Coast
Uvita is located in the center of The Costa Ballena Region. When you stay at Nature’s Edge you are in the middle of it all! From here you can set off on a number of adventure tours and activities or just relax in the tranquil jungle canopy surroundings of the hotel. Our location is perfect for a visit to three of Costa Rica’s National Parks; Marino Ballena National Park, Manuel Antonio National Park, or Corcovado National Park.
Uvita is home to many restaurants and shopping. It is the main town for the entire region which includes Dominical to the north and Ojochal to the south. These other towns have their own charm and should be visited while staying with us. Uvita however will have everything you need to make you vacation complete.
Additionally we are the perfect location to be if exploring waterfalls, mangroves, beaches, and rainforests is on your vacation agenda. After you learn more about our location and the area, you will soon be planning your trip to see us.

Visit Any Time
There are two seasons in Costa Rica, the rainy/green season which is our winter from May through November. And the dry season, our summer from December through April! Two beautiful seasons offer their own unique experiences, however, locals know it’s the green season that makes Costa Rica the bountiful country it is.
Don’t get us wrong, we love the summer months and the heat, but the summer months bring crowds and the tourism industry operating at full tilt. Great for us hotels! But as a tourist, consider; prices are higher, attractions are crowded, and, hotel, restaurant and tour reservations need to be made well in advance!
Whether rainy or dry, Costa Rica is a beautiful country that is to be enjoyed all year round. But it is the rainfall that makes Costa Rica so lush and beautiful – so don’t miss it.
