At Nature’s Edge – Safer Travel is Important to Us

The travel landscape has changed since the pandemic gave us all a new perspective of how we will explore the world.    You can be assured that at Nature’s Edge – Safer Travel is important to us so; we outlined the changes made to accommodate our guests below.

Never more than 8 Guests at a Time

Undoubtedly many will have concerns about which accommodations to choose when they are ready to travel internationally again.

Smaller boutique hotels like Nature’s Edge should be your first choice as we can offer social distancing in nature with unbelievable views and amenities all while never having more than 8 guests at any one time.  

Steps Taken for Safer Travel

Below are some of the steps we have taken to make your stay with us safe and healthy.

• We are huggers, and yes, this whole pandemic has been hard on us as we must keep our distance.  Instead we will wave or show our attention to our guests in safer ways.

• We are a small boutique hotel with a maximum occupancy of 8 guests at any one time.  Social distancing will be easy.   Terraza de Alma (our floating jungle deck, pool and outdoor eating/living area) will allow for distancing of 6 feet or more while you enjoy a meal or view the jungle from the pool.
  
  
• Terraza de Alma allows for all meals and any outdoor socialization to be in an open-air environment.   We will be sure the areas are always sanitized between guests and leave supplies for guest to clean as well.

• Disinfectant and alcohol gel is available in all rooms as well as public areas.
  
  
• We have moved all tables, lounge chairs, and other seating to be at least 6 feet apart, so you can enjoy the outdoors and keep your distance. If you are traveling with others in your “social bubble” you can always move furniture to be closer to one another.

• Since we are a small business, we do not employ many people.   We can assure you that all our employees are practicing safety.   We wash are hands frequently, wear gloves and masks, and will always be sure none of our staff have any symptoms of illnesses. Most of your interactions will only be with the 2 of us and no one else.

• All guest rooms will be thoroughly cleaned with disinfecting cleaners and no one will be allowed to enter the room after cleaning other than you our guest. Between guests we will use a concentrated disinfectant fogger to sanitize each room.

• We have removed all reading materials and brochures.   Instead you will find laminated materials in your room which have been disinfected between each guest. You can also find all of this on our website or we can email you digital copies.

• All keys will be sanitized prior to being given to guests.  

• We have a website page that allows you to make payments online.   We are also working to have an email request option for you to pay by a link in an email. If we need to exchange cash, we will be sure to wear a mask and gloves and we can stay 6 feet apart during the transaction.

• You can safely enjoy an oasis in the jungle, relax while escaping the world around you, and never have to leave Nature’s Edge. 
  
  • We will practice social distancing during all interactions and allow you to do the same with other guests.
  • Your kitchenette allows you to keep drinks and have snacks in your room.
  • Terraza de Alma allows you to cook full meals in the shared kitchen.  You will have access to disinfecting cleaners to allow the next person to feel safe using the lounge and then move to a socially distanced seating area to enjoy your meal with an amazing jungle canopy view.
  • There are many local restaurants close by for pickup, you can stop at one of these before you venture up our mountain road.
