Accommodations at Nature’s Edge
You will experience “nature on the edge” the moment you arrive! Situated on a 10-acre oasis overlooking the jungle canopies Nature’s Edge features 4 jungle chic 500 sq. ft. casitas. Each casita includes a kitchenette, a comfy king bed, a shower with a jungle view, private bathroom, and a private balcony or patio. There are 2 casitas with partial ocean and jungle views and 2 casitas on stilts nestled above the jungle canopies with mountain and cloud forest views.
Outdoor Living at Nature’s Edge
Your stay would not be complete without a visit to Terreza de Alma, our outdoor gathering spot that jets out into the jungle all around you! You can mingle and make new friends from around the world. Terreza de Alma is equipped with a full kitchen, BBQ, living room, and dining area. There is also a salt water pool with a luxurious coral tile deck. This large outdoor living and dining area has several seating areas so you can mingle or have time to yourself. You will enjoy the tranquility of the jungle many times being the only ones enjoying the space, as Nature’s Edge is a small boutique hotel with no more than 8 guests staying with us at anytime.
The making and renewal of Nature’s Edge
When originally built from the ground up in 2017, attention to detail was clearly a priority. The original owners put their hearts into creating you a home away from home environment. In 2020, new owners took over Nature’s Edge. We added some upgraded touches to make this boutique hotel even more appealing and luxurious for you.
Nature’s Edge Location
The mountainous jungle canopies of the town of Uvita, Costa Rica is where you will find Nature’s Edge. The region is home to The Marino Ballena National Park (which includes the popular “Whales Tail” – a natural rock and sand formation caused by the sedimentation generated by tides. You can walk into the middle of the ocean during low tide.). The entire region known as Costa Ballena is home to over a dozen beautiful beaches, as well as all the conveniences travelers need including shopping and restaurants.
Because we are located at 1200 feet above sea level, guests will enjoy cool mountain breezes in the evenings, perfect for sleeping after a day of adventure. The mountain includes more expensive top luxury hotels. Nature’s Edge offers more affordable luxury comparable to these other hotels, This allows us to stand out on our own as being the only hotel of it’s kind on the mountain!

Tripadvisor awarded us the best of the best two years in a row; ranking us #10 in Costa Rica in 2022 and in 2023 we ranked #9 in Central America and #4 in Cost Rica out of thousands of similar B&B’s/Inns.
